East Otago locals, it’s time for a pre-Christmas spring clean with a twist! We’re transforming the historic Stewards Stand at the Waikouaiti Racecourse into a one-day community treasure hunt where car boots, local produce, and hidden gems collide.
Got stuff to clear out? Think clothing, homewares, power tools, décor, and more. We have space for 20 car boot sellers:
10 inside the fenced area in front of the grandstand
10 around the outside of the building
Bring your car, up to two tables, and turn your clean-out into cash.
We’re also welcoming 5 local growers/home gardeners selling fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, and kai, set up along the side of the building near the kitchen.
And yes… the kitchen will be open! Grab a hot coffee, fresh bread from Beano’s, or beautiful blooms from Frankie’s Flowers to brighten your day.
Make a Sunday outing of it shop for treasures, enjoy local produce, and soak up the racecourse’s hillside views. Explore parts of the building too: the grandstand, studio room, and gallery will be open for a peek, but all stalls are outdoors.
This is our way of supporting East Otago locals declutter, earn a little extra, and bring the community together for a fun, relaxed day out.
